Marshal Nicolas-Jean de Dieu Soult
A model of Marshal Soult by Verlinden (120mm, resin). I used a combination of oils and enamels.
(June 1995)
Antoine Charles Louis Lasalle General de Brigade
I think this is one of the best models by Verlinden (120mm, resin). The way of painting is the same as above. The picture isn't the best I ever took so I will take another later and replace this one (Oct. 1996).
Napoleon (n° 1)
This is a magnificent model by Verlinden (120mm, resin). Napoleon is painted with a combination
of acrylics, enamels and oils. His horse is painted with oils. It was my first attempt at painting a
white horse. I think it turned out rather well, if I do say so myself... (Sept. 1996).
Napoleon (n° 2)
A figure by Beneito (90mm, metal), I like this model for it's unusual pose. Nap is taking a nap...
Painted in enamels and oils (Oct. 1995).
Napoleon (n° 3)
Napoleon Bonaparte, also by Verlinden (120mm, resin). Same painting as by Napoleon n° 1.
(Oct. 1995)
Napoleon (n° 4)
Napoleon Bonaparte, again by Verlinden (1:4 scale, resin). Painted with enamels and oils (Feb. 1994)
Marshal of the Empire Jean Lannes
This is the second in what seems to become a series of 200mm busts (resin) by Verlinden representing
Marshals of the Empire. I like the size of this busts, it's a good compromise between the big 1:4 scale
and the rather small 120mm busts. Paints used? Yes, you guessed it...
(Oct. 1996)
Marshal of the Empire Louis Nicolas Davout
Another 200mm bust (resin) by Verlinden this time representing Marshal Davout.
If you guessed right about the paint I used for Marshal Lannes then you know
what I've used for this bust... (Jan. 1997)
Marshal of the Empire Joachim Murat
The brother-in-law of Napoleon Joachim Murat (200mm bust, resin) by Verlinden.
Used oils, enamels and acrylics on this one, but that's hardly a surpise... (Jan. 1997)
Marshal Nicolas Charles Oudinot
A 200mm bust (resin) by Verlinden of Marshal Nicolas Charles Oudinot. It seems like this is
the last bust of a French Marshal Verlinden will produce. (I think he's forgotten about
Europe and is aming at the American market, that's no sin but I think it's a shame...)
Used oils and acrylics, no enamels this time. (Sept. 1997)
